With a reasonable sized hand and a little hand strength, you can get the knack of using this with one hand, and can always use two hands as needed. It is not spring loaded, so does not go to 'open' or 'closed' when released, and I prefer it this way. It is really a great tool for handling fires.

This is an essential tool for a well managed fire. Prior to having this tool it was alway a mess trying to get burning logs in the right position to maximise the fire and burn the logs completely. With this product, the job is easy. I like it so much that I am buying this item as a gift for all my friends who have fire pits or fire places.

This is a great item. Anyone who has a lot of campfires needs one of these. My son bought one from here, last year and insisted I needed to get one. So glad he did!
