    For informal spaces it would be fine. I bought it in hopes of using it as a center-piece on a beautiful rock in a new stone patio. This fire-bowl is not up that task--it looks too flimsy and too bright. I need an up-scale bowl.We are keeping this bowl for other uses because it is light as a feather, quite portable. We can take it down to the pond, on picnics or to friend's houses--anywhere you need a holder for a quick & easy fire!
