We have this on the corner of our wood deck. It was a Christmas gift to my husband so we've since only used it in the cold and it gave off enough heat to keep us outside enjoying it. The dome is high enough that you can heap the logs up and get a bit bigger fire than some of the other pits. We let off small fireworks for New Year's Eve and the duds were thrown into the fire. The pit held up great! One complaint: when we received it the dome was warped so that when you opened and closed it the outside panel scraped the inside panel and removed the paint. The big guy that put it together spent a bit of time bending it by hand so that it doesn't scrape anymore and after having used it several times it still seems to be fine. If I had put it together myself I would not have been able to bend it and would have been quite upset.

Looks attractive in the picutre but not a very strudy or practical product for our application. We use it on a patio with four or five people gathered around. When putting in logs the screen get in the way and the bowl moves around because it is so light and thin.and Iy is not stable unit.

Looks attractive in the picutre but not a very strudy or practical product for our application. We use it on a patio with four or five people gathered around. When putting in logs the screen get in the way and the bowl moves around because it is so light and thin.and Iy is not stable unit.
