My wife got me this for my birthday, which is in February, and we live in Portland, OR. Despite some inclement weather, we started using the fire pit right away and enjoy it a great deal. It's easy to get a fire going, the mesh lid keeps sparks and fire debris from floating up in the air and settling on your clothes, food, whatever. I leave it outside in the rain and there are no problems, but I don't know if it this is something I should continue doing for very long. I hope to use the accompanying grill grate to make burger soon, maybe tonight. The other night, we had some friends over and roasted marshmallows.
I get a lot of relaxing time and enjoyment out of this fire pit. Especially with a beer in hand.

This product was difficult to put together. The screw holes did not match up very well and I had to really manipulate pieces to get the holes to line up. It caused me to scratch the paint in a couple of places so I am a little concerned about rusting.

The grill for cooking is very flimsy and the wires are too far apart. Unless you had a larger piece of meat or items to cook the food would drop through .

    I really wanted a fire pit that could double as a barbecue. This product is perfect for that. It's deep enough to use as a fire pit but the cooking grill makes it perfect to barbecue. It is easy to clean and an all around nice product.
