This bowl is made of 0.75mm heavy-gauge copper, and it will withstand temperatures up to 1,700 degrees. The bowl is approximately 4 to 5 inches deep. We wanted somethng larger than a 30in fire pit. We had to shop around to find this one. We also really like the taller fire guard for the top. It opens on one side and you can close that side or not. The unit came with a grate for the wood to sit on and a cover. We really like the copper, seems classy. It is light enough to empty easily and strong enough to do the job. VERY satisfied.
