1. Early man enjoyed the warmth of an open fire, as well as the ability to cook his day's catch. Today, you can do the same in an attractive, safe manner, using a fire pit grill. A charcoal or wood-burning fire pit with grill can provide you with beauty, a cooking surface, and a cozy atmosphere.
2. The latest innovations in fire pits offer you a unique way to express yourself. Select a style for your fire pit - from rustic and casual to contemporary, even a sporting theme - that reflects your individual personality or your outdoor landscaping style.
3. The ideal portable fire pit is constructed from heavy-duty steel, upheld by expertly welded sturdy steel legs. This allows you to move your fire pit from your backyard to the park for a picnic, the beach for a bonfire, or to the woods for camping.
4. By using a fire screen, you can reduce the impact of the wind, and lessen the chance of sparks flying out of your fire pit.
5. For safety's sake, keep water and/or a fire extinguisher nearby. Remove any flammable materials from around the fire pit, including dead leaves and other debris.
6. If you're using your fire pit grill on a wooden deck, place it over a protective pad or paving stones. These items are readily available from your local hardware store.
7. We recommend using a hardwood for burning, such as oak, which produces less smoke and even heating. There's nothing quite like the sound of a crackling fire and the fragrance of fresh logs.
8. Our cold-rolled steel has been treated with a protective patina finish. You may find that the patina finish initially rubs off onto hands, rugs, or other surfaces for which it comes into contact. After your first fire with your fire pit, the finish will etch into the steel and become part of the protective finish. You may choose to clean off the excess patina material on your fire pit by simply scrubbing it lightly with water and a soft nylon brush, then hosing off any excess and letting the fire pit dry. With subsequent uses, this finish will darken to a beautiful burgundy color.
9. Cooler weather normally means inside entertaining. Extend your party seasons and enhance your hosting skills by introducing a fire pit with grill into your landscape and home decor. Family and friends will look forward to gathering around your backyard bonfire.
